   Kent “Countrywide” Conrad is under federal investigation for his involvement in the mortgage scandal. Byron “Skybox” Dorgan was up to his armpits in the Abramoff scandal, yet it was portrayed as a “Republican” scandal. Yet they get a complete pass by the North Dakota media and people like Mr. Irby. Both “gave the money back” (whatever that means) and are instantly forgiven by the Tribune and other members of the media. The lapdogs on the editorial boards and in the newsroom then kick completely back into positive spin mode, praising our beloved Senators for all that juicy federal money they bring back to our state.

   Too nice?
