Minot, a community in central North Dakota, has a new program:  the Magic Give.  Patterned after Oprah’s Big Give, the Magic Area Community Foundation has $10,000 to give away in increments of $2,000 each to five winning projects–read more here. 

According to the article linked to above, the Magic Give is possible because of an anonymous donation.

That’s what I love about North Dakota.
