North Dakota Has Pipeline Authority, Transmission Authority
0 Comments Published September 11th, 2008 in Energy, Politics and Government.I just received a very nice letter from Don Larson, Campaign Manager for Gov. Hoeven and wanted to share a piece of information he included:
. I read your post about the Governor’s Debate and did want to let you know that we have created both a Pipeline Authority and a Transmission Authority to help the state work with companies to increase transmission of oil, gas and power. Those types of projects take years to develop and construct, but the two authorities will go a long way in speeding the process along.
I don’t suppose another pipeline or more transmission lines for the electricity we can produce here will be built overnight, but it’s nice to know we’re on the right course. And since I really love the idea of exporting energy to other states, it’s something to talk up.
By the way, check out the press release on Centers of Excellence funding and the EmpowerND link from the governor’s web site.
Gov. Hoeven’s opponent is North Dakota state Senator Tim Mathern. He left an interesting comment on the previous post.
