According to this Minot Daily News article, money from oil and gas leases will help pay for 200 new homes on the Fort Berthold Reservation.
The reservation, which has a great need for housing, is situated over the Bakken oil formation in northwestern North Dakota.
Oil and natural resources are an investment on the community. But, since we rely on OPEC countries so much, we don’t get the positive effects that we could if we used our own made in the U.S.A. products as seen in North Dakota.
