In this article, Bismarck Tribune columnist Kelly Hagen captured what it’s like to try to explain to loved ones far away why those of us who live here choose to stay here.  I especially liked her idea for a one-word answer:  festivals.  I have also fallen in love with the creativity, dedication and good nature of North Dakotans hosting festivals across the state.  Hagen’s article is well worth the read.
