This post is in response to a request for more information by Dr. Jagveer Rawat.

Phase One of the 110-acre Great Plains Energy Park in Minot, North Dakota is completed.  According to this fact sheet, there are two phases of the energy-related industrial park.  The first phase has seven lots with business tenants that have ties to the energy field.  Pumpco, a pressure pumping company based in Texas, was the last business to take a space in phase one.

As I understand it, the energy park is owned by the Minot Area Development Corporation and is located east of Minot on Highway 2.  Phase two has room for another eight tenants.

A map on the fact sheet shows Minot’s postion in the Williston Basin, a current hot spot for oil development, including the Bakken oil shale formation.
