An article in Minot Daily News indicated that Minot Air Force base will be expanding with the addition of another B-52 squadron.  This means about another 1,000 people in the area.  The expansion will be discussed by North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad and Lt. General Frank Klotz, assistant vice chief of staff of the Air Force, in Minot on Friday.

“I’m pleased to welcome General Klotz back to Minot. From his time commanding our ICBM forces in Minot and his six years of service in Grand Forks, General Klotz knows the truth of the saying that ‘Only the Best Come North,” Conrad said.
