According to historian/scholar/Bismarck Tribune columnist Clay Jenkinson, the Agraria Restaurant in Washington, D.C. is something that North Dakotans can be proud of.  From the article:

My fear was that we’d wind up saying Agraria was pretty good for a North Dakota restaurant in the District of Columbia. I could not have been more wrong. Agraria is simply an excellent restaurant with great food, fine service, and a really agreeable ambience, that happens to have a North Dakota connection. Were it entirely unrelated to North Dakota, it would still be a superb restaurant.

North Dakota can be proud of Agraria restaurant

I’ve never had the opportunity to eat there, but I did have a chance to talk to the man overseeing the restaurant a few months ago.  The web site is great, too, and I can’t help but marvel at the creativity of the North Dakota Farmer’s Union.  Agraria was a stroke of genius.

Read Clay Jenkinson’s column.  Then visit Agraria if you can and let me know what you think.
