According to this article, that’s what Paul Goodiron said Tuesday when his nephew, C.J. O’Berry was honored with a purple heart.  Nate Goodiron, Paul Goodiron’s son and O’Berry’s cousin, was killed in the same attack that wounded O’Berry.

Bismarck Tribune reporter Tony Spilde, who reported on the ceremony for this morning’s paper, has done an excellent job writing about the situation and about what the ceremony means to the people of North Dakota, especially those living on the Fort Berthold reservation.

Some very fine freedom-fighters have come from ND and the sovereign nations in the state.  We are proud to honor those who put their own lives on the line to make our lives better.
