Take a look at the photo across the top of this blog from Walhalla, North Dakota.  This is the North Dakota I first fell in love with.

We used to live in Walhalla.  Tetrault State Forest is located there (it’s a great place to hike and to sled).  Pembina Gorge isn’t too far away.  And I absolutely love the view from the large hill coming east toward Walhalla from Langdon.

Those who have driven Highway 5 know what I mean.  In the summertime, there’s nothing but green fields and bright blue sky.  It’s gorgeous.  Definitely worth the trip.

That is lovely. It’s interesting it’s in NORTHEastern ND, because it looks a lot like Eastern Montana.

Well that’s not what I meant to say! This is a picture of Eastern ND, but it reminds me of Eastern Montana, which is on the other side. Am I making any sense???????

This makes sense to me! Another beautiful place to visit is the Turtle Mountains, near Bottineau, ND. This is another very hilly, green and forested spot in our state.
