Interbranch Summit Of States Is A Chance To Showcase North Dakota
Published by gwen March 2nd, 2008 in Beyond North Dakota, Politics and Government. An article published in Minot Daily News today announced that a summit for the legislative, executive and judiciary branches of state government would be held here in North Dakota this summer.
According to the article, it’s the first national summit of it’s kind.
The benefits of such a gathering could be more preventive than reactive. It could open communication on common issues in a relatively peaceful setting and foster some real cooperation between states and branches of government.
Beyond that, our state will be playing host to elected officials from other states. It gives us a chance to show off what we have and what we can do with what we’ve got. I hope our visitors get to see successes in every area–our agriculture, tourism, energy, manufacturing and technology industries are all doing very well.
What an exciting opportunity for North Dakota.
