One of the things I have come to love about North Dakotans is their creativity. Besides finding innovative ways to solve work problems and life problems, the abundance of artists, musicians and other oh-so-talented people here astounds me.
And it appears that other people are seeing the same thing I see. According to an article in Minot Daily News today, Artspace, a Minneapolis-based company that provides residential and commercial space to artists, will be coming to Minot. Construction on a new building could begin as early as 2009 in the Minot downtown area. The article suggests that more than 40 artists would be willing to move there.
And I have to put my plug in about New Bohemia, too. It’s a network of artists across North Dakota who are working together to help artists find ways to make money off their creativity. Read more about it here and here (scroll down on this one).
Also in the news this morning: A Stanton woman created a Christmas Tree ornament for the White House Christmas Tree.
