Yesterday John Ruberry of the Marathon Pundit blog wrote about now North Dakota is happily developing its wind energy potential, while millionaires in Cape Cod have stopped (maybe temporarily) the development of a 130-turbine wind farm in Massachusetts.    The post begins with this sentence:

What’s good enough for North Dakota apparently isn’t good enough for the millionaires living off of Cape Cod.

Whether Ruberry meant it as a compliment or not, that first sentence is a tribute to the people living and working in North Dakota.  Not only are they willing to try new things (and this often means investing in new things), they are willing to work with what they already have.  In this case, it’s wind.

Oh, I meant it as compliment. And I’ve been to ND, my Technorati profile photo was taken at Theodore Roosevelt N.P.
