Technology created in North Dakota

From September 24, 2007

I came across a circuit created at North Dakota State University’s clean rooms today.  The picture didn’t turn out very well, but it’s amazing to me how tiny and intricate that work is.  The whole piece is only about an inch long and feels like it was made out of kodak film.

We have some talented people here.  One more thing to love about North Dakota!

I’ve done some photography and videography in those clean rooms. It’s amazing the work they’re doing! The RFID stuff they’re doing for Alien is astonishing. I saw a picture of a Denver-minted dime with five or six of their RFID tags sitting inside the D!
