Once again, North Dakota has made me smile.  This time, it’s a rocket contest for undergraduate students; read  more about it on this blog.

North Dakota is a very rural state, but I’m always surprised by its sophisticated technology.  Aerospace technology is especially big in the Red River Valley Research Corridor along the east side of the state, but there manufacturing plants for aerospace parts dotted all over the state.  More on this later.

Maybe they’ve got some “black projects” in the works in the North Dakota aerospace industry. Search for “North Dakota UFOs” on YouTube, and you’ll find some true believers. A friend passed that along to me the other day.
